Mission 14® Job Training Program

The Mission 14 Job Training Program offers adults and young adults from Local Church Initiatives opportunities to obtain jobs that will help them to break the cycle of poverty in their lives.

We proudly partner with Mission 14 to create job opportunities in the garment manufacturing industry.

Mission 14®

Nick and Sandi Cienski (MD), were inspired to start Mission 14® after an ORPHANetwork mission trip with their church in 2011. Nick, Creative Principal Special Projects, designs innovative apparel at Under Armour. The couple was touched by the care for at-risk children in communities of abject poverty and they envisioned providing a way to break cycles of poverty by teaching a few mothers how to make and sew shirts locally.

Today, Mission 14® is providing impoverished families a way out of poverty through an innovative sewing training center in Managua, Nicaragua.

When speaking about the hundreds of jobs that have been created over the past few years, Cienski said, “Our focus was never just to teach; our focus was to try and break the cycle of poverty that exists in this place.” Cienski continued, “For us it was always about jobs.”

You can help provide job skills training and break the cycle of poverty in Nicaragua. Donate today!
