Illness and daily survival are your way of life, preventing you from attending school and dreaming of a better tomorrow. You are forever captive to the cycles of poverty.

This is the reality for thousands of children in Nicaragua. If not properly nourished by the time they turn age five, a child’s brain and body will not fully develop, causing irreversible cognitive and physical barriers to receiving an education and getting a job that can support them and their family. Breaking the cycle of poverty in a child’s life starts with a foundation of proper nourishment.
