ORPHANetwork Invited to Google Panel Discussion

World Food Day is October 16th and our partners at Stop Hunger Now were asked to host a Google Panel Discussion on the issue of local and world hunger. The Hunger Panel is a closed discussion that will be simulcast company wide throughout Google’s US offices. The goal of the panel discussion is to raise awareness for ending local and world hunger and encourage Google employees to take action and donate towards hunger alleviation through Google Give.

When selecting the five members of the Hunger Panel, Stop Hunger Now invited our very own Eddy Morales to represent ORPHANetwork and our strategic partnership that dates back to 2008.  They also added two additional members to the panel by inviting two ORPHANetwork children whose lives have been impacted by our programs in Nicaragua. Eddy selected Transition Student Jenniffer Lopez who grew up at our partner home, Casa Bernabe, and Leyla Martinez who is finishing up her last year of high school and has grown up at our partner home, El Canyon.

We are honored to be representing Stop Hunger Now on the Google Panel and we look forward to sharing the simulcast video of the panel once it’s released.
